Engineers estimated the DuPont plant has saved more than $300,000 on replacement part and labor costs with Flexijoint joints. Their durability also helps prevent expensive downtime. They also cost only 1/3 as much as alloy units.
Fights Fatigue.
The long flexural life of PTFE helps the expansion joints resist fatigue failure. The liners have a uniform wall thickness to guard against stress concentration. |
